Etched Copper Chinese Art Set (4)
1986 Franklin Mint four-piece etching set by artist, Zhang Shou-Cheng. Framed etchings are pure silver and 24-karat gold on a burnished copper plate, featuring a fabric matting and teak frame. Set includes the following etchings:
- The Quail of the Golden Maple
- The Crane of the Quiet Bamboo
- The Swallows of the Springtime Willow
- The Sparrows of the Peony Tree
Each etching is representative of strong Chinese Folklore and includes a narrative about the symbolism in the certificate of authenticity on the back.
Good, vintage condition, with minor runs in the matting fabric. It doesn’t seem to have been caused by age or wear, so it might just be how it was originally made.
Roughly 8.75” x 11.75”
