It is very crisp, or "chips" in American. Mainly because it came in plastic, which is something people did. Maybe they were preserving it for us to make a living someday, and that's very nice. Nice firm cushions, though definitely a cushy couch (I prefer to sit with a pillow on my back, which I can tell I'd want with this one). Bed is a full-size and comes out very easily. Also has a mattress (which makes up part of the support). It isn't a perfect mattress, though that all depends on your concern for the "look" of something under a fitted sheet. Couch rolls with ease despite its decent heftiness, weight-wise.
